November 28, 2006 the day that I will never forget in Pacol my new hometown. My wife and I was preparing things we need such as food, water, plastic covers, batteries, transistor radio, and a contingency plan in case the situation get worsted before the typhoon “Reming” with an international named “Durian” strikes the city.

While listening in the news about the status of the approaching super typhoon, I got an SMS text message from my sister living in Camalig, Albay. She's telling me that we really need to vacate and leave our place then stay to more safer place, because the typhoon is really strong our house might collapsed. In the text she also mentioned about their newly constructed house that the roof top have been destroyed.

In our place at 2:00PM the strength of the typhoon is starting to shake our entire ceiling. Thinking the other part of the room that might give-up because the ceiling ("kisame") is not yet finished. According to the news the eye-wall will cross the city and pacol, corolina, goa, including all barangay’s nearby mount Isarog. It might be in great danger according to Mike Padua as its opened and isolated place.
That report is really terrifying and I keep fighting against it and getting close to God will keep us out in danger. Pray, pray, pray, and pray hoping to change its path. My son Karl was sleeping when the roof top of the other room (as I mentioned while ago) covering my working place was destroyed and rainfall and strong wind are getting into our place. I decided to bring my son with his “Yaya” to the bathroom that I thought the safest place. Thank's to Jah he's sleeping and calm seeing him like nothing is happening just an ordinary family activity. .

T
he storm ended up at 9:00PM my wife and I was very tired and looking for a place to sleep. In the morning, sunlight touches my face through an opened roof top. I wokeup, go out and I saw people outside staying in the road looking at their damaged property. Not knowingly, I’m also one of them. Yes, It’s true God heard my prayers my family was safe and no one gets hurt.
The aftermath was really disappointing you'll see man made will never be stronger than nature. Still, I’m not losing my faith Jehovah God is stronger than to anything. “The name of Jehovah is a strong tower; the righteous runneth into it, and is safe.”—Prov. 18:10

J
esus Christ showed during his time thru God given power he can easily control the natural forces. Jesus will restore the earth’s ecology to perfect balance. Recall that he demonstrated control of natural forces by calming a windstorm. Surely, then, under Christ’s Kingdom rule, mankind will have no need to fear being harmed by typhoons, earthquakes, volcanoes, or other natural disasters. Since Jesus is the Master Worker, whom Jehovah used to create the earth and all life on it, he fully understands the makeup of the earth. He knows how to use its resources properly. Under his rule, this entire earth will be turned into Paradise.—Luke 23:43.
